Ralph Fiennes Considers Booking Anderson’s “The Grand Budapest Hotel”

Ralph Fiennes as a concierge? Well, I guess.

We have news from Variety today about Ralph Fiennes–reportedly he’s considering taking a role in Wes Anderson’s next movie, “The Grand Budapest Hotel” (hey, when the sale of Variety to Deadline’s parent, Penske Media, is complete, will they lift the paywall? Just a suggestion.). It’s a hotel, so he would play a concierge, named M. Gustave. It’s not clear if that’s “M” as in “Monsieur” Gustave or “M” as in, perhaps, “Michel” Gustave.

There’s no word about the plot yet, but I feel we can bet safely on a group of wealthy, intellectual, high-strung people with a parade of quirks being involved somehow. Cast members include Anderson regular Bill Murray, Angela Lansbury, and Jude Law.

Fiennes will next be seen in the James Bond movie “Skyfall.” He has the Charles Dickens movie “The Invisible Woman,” with Felicity Jones and Kristin Scott Thomas, ready for a 2013 release.
