Don't worry, there's more.
Did you feel let down by the ending of “Prometheus?” Well, don’t worry, you’re going to get another chance to love/hate the world of “Prometheus.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Prometheus 2″ is already gearing up.
Scott is supposed to be very into it all, and so are Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace, whether they like it or not–they have sequel deals in their contracts. They’ll need a new writer, though; Damon Lindelof, who wrote the first movie (or who wrote the draft that was used the most) is busy and won’t return. No word yet on who else might be involved.
“Prometheus” earned $303 million and cost $130 million to make, so it was a decent hit, but not a huge one. Nevertheless, studios figure any name recognition is better than none, I guess, so why not?
They’re not rushing it, though. Fox president of production Emma Watts said:
“Ridley is incredibly excited about the movie, but we have to get it right. We can’t rush it.”
Look for it in2014 or 2015.
