I must admit to being intrigued by how Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time is going to turn out. Here, after all, is a movie adaptation of a popular video game and we all know how well they usually turn out. But this is has a big budget, what sounds like a solid storyline, and a top cast.
I had my doubts about Jake Gyllenhaal as the Prince when I first heard of his casting, but after seeing him buffed up and in costume last year (in pictures rather than personally you understand) I have complete faith in his ability to pull it off, even if he is a white American guy portraying what is clearly a role for someone of Persian descent.
Filming has now been completed, and Toby Kebbell, Gyllenhaal’s co-star in the movie has described the experience as “an epic journey.” He told Digital Spy:
“I never like to say phenomenal when you’re wearing the same beard for nine months and you have to brush it out for nine hours. It’s like pubes, always like that!”
“[It was] 54 degrees centigrade on the edge of the Sahara in 18 kilos of armour on horseback. But they’re like epic journeys in themselves. I’m blessed, I’ve got nothing to complain about.”
A beard of pubes? Nice thought. Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time is due out in 2010 and if it does well at the box office (almost guaranteed) then the rest of the trilogy of video games is likely to also be turned into movies. Could we be about to witness one of the few truly successful video game to movie adaptations? Fingers crossed.

I really like the casting of this movie n was happy that shooting has started but regarding the main cast ,He should give the clicks as per the audience expect from this movie i think they shouldnt take the old faces in this movie ,ther should be some special LOOK …..!!!!!!!! Nothing Is Impposible In thIs worLd , So ther is a right guy for all the things n righT time .They will find if they think they will ……..)))) Thanks N regards Sahil …..S…
As much as I love the video game, this movie is going to suck, unless a new lead character is casted.
