Ponyo English Voice Cast Announced

Don’t worry, you’ll understand when Matt Damon is saying it. 

Any movie by Hayao Miyazaki is an event, and the release of his latest, Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. Of course, as always, a version dubbed with English-speaking actors will be produced, and these usually include quite a few well-known names. ComingSoon, via GhibliWorld, has the list: Matt Damon, Tina Fey, Cate Blanchett, Liam Neeson, Lily Tomlin, Betty White, Fankie Jonas, Noah Cyrys and Cloris Leachman (now there’s a lady who’s got a serious career revival going on).

Okay, the name “Fankie Jonas” looked weird to me, too, but that’s how it was listed on both ComingSoon and GhibliWorld. I checked it out, though, and I’m guessing they really just mean “Frankie Jonas,” who is the youngest Jonas Brother, as in too young to be in the band. At least according to Wikipedia.

ComingSoon doesn’t list a specific release date, just “North America 2009.” So start recording, you lazy gits!
