New Star Trek Teaser Trailer Online - Showing The Enterprise Launching

Now that Cloverfield is out in the US, the new Star Trek teaser trailer is being seen by all and sundry in theatres everywhere, but there’s still no sign of an HD version being put out on the Internet. Thankfully some kind hearted soul, or dodgy guy with a video phone, depending on your outlook, has filmed it and uploaded it to YouTube.

The quality is crap, but stop your whining, it’s better than nothing I’m sure you’ll agree. Just watch it and get excited…

It’s a very cool trailer, being both atmospheric and understated at the same time. It shows the Enterprise being made on Earth, ready for relaunch… kind of like the film relaunching the franchise in its entirety, and taking us back to the very beginning of the story.

This, along with the recently revealed high resolution image of the new Enterprise has me excited about the movie even more than I already was. If only it wasn’t such a long wait for it to be released!

With all the criticism and decidedly mixed reviews that Cloverfield is receiving, maybe the only reason left for me to go and see the film when it comes out here in the UK, is to see this in all its hi def, big screen glory?
