New Poster and Synopsis For ‘The Dark Knight’ - And It Rocks Big Time!

New Poster and Sypnosis For ‘The Dark Knight’ - And It Rocks Big Time!

The build up to the release of the latest Batman film The Dark Knight is starting to come to fruition. On Monday, the 6 minute trailer for the film is expected to go officially online.

There is a video phone recording doing the rounds already but seeing as YouTube keep removing it for copyright violations as soon as it’s uploaded, I thought I’d save you all the ‘This Video Is No Longer Available’ moment.

For now though, we have a new synopsis to read, and a brilliant new poster (as you can see above.) There is actually a series of posters, but this one, for the International market is the most visually intriguing.

According to IESB, the new film can be described succinctly as follows:

“The follow-up to the action hit Batman Begins, The Dark Knight reunites director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, who reprises the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne.”

“In The Dark Knight, Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets.”

“The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker.”

Every single piece of news and tidbit of information about the new movie gets me more excited, and wanting to see it urgently. On first and second glances, they seem to have got everything right, with great casting, a good plot, and all the promotional material rocking.

We obviously won’t know how the actual film has turned out until it comes out in July 2008, but the trailer should fill a gap until then. I’ll make sure to post it as soon as it becomes available.
