“New Moon” Tickets on Sale…in a Few Places. Very Few.

Last week we heard about how AMC theaters have already put tickets on sale for the December release of “Avatar.” Now The Hollywood Reporter says that “New Moon” tickets are also on sale ahead of its November release–but unfortunately on a much smaller scale.

Carmike Cinemas, which runs 247 theaters in small and medium-sized markets scattered throughout the US, is selling tickets to a November 19 midnight screening of the second “Twilight” film at 63 of its theaters. Tickets can be bought online through Fandango.

The plan just started, so it’s too early to tell how the tickets are selling. But if you’re a “Twilight” fan, you should go to Fandango right now and find out whether a theater near you has the box office open for one of this fall’s most eagerly anticipated films. Then get your tickets and relax until November 19th.
