New Avenger–Eva Longoria?

Do your homework, Eva.

Slashfilm has a story via Flawed Hollywood regarding the upcoming (okay, way upcoming, as in 2011) Avengers movie. Eva Longoria was spotted leaving Marvel Studios with what appears to be an Avengers comic book or two. She also, as you’ll notice in the above photo, is carrying what looks like business card, which she’s probably like, “What the hell am I supposed to do with this? Can’t you get this to my agent?”

Speculation is that she would be up for the role of Janet Van Dyne, aka The Wasp, one of the original Avengers. The Wasp also goes on to marry Ant-Man and they have a somewhat rocky relationship. She also bounces in and out of the Avengers a lot.

This is, of course, very premature speculation about casting the film, and it’s only based on circumstantial evidence. But it’s pretty darn impressive circumstantial evidence.

I can certainly picture Longoria in this. Plus she must be just dying to get as far away from Desperate Housewives as possible. Casting speculation will undoubtedly continue for a year or so.
