Look, the annual cool fest happened.

Last night was the MTV Movie Awards, the pseudo-irreverent cousin to, well, maybe not the Oscars, but at least the Golden Globes. It means starlets showing up dressed casual, that is in short dresses as opposed to full length gowns, but still very expensive short dresses that are meant to make an impression. The men roll up their sleeves and don’t wear ties unless they’re making an ironic comment on ties.

The ceremony also isĀ  used to promote new films, new projects, new stars, etc. It’s a big promotion. There were some music performances. It was hosted this year by Russell Brand.
