More Wolverine News: Film to Introduce a Character Per Minute

will.i.am makes the career transition from hitmaker to mutant.
Coming right after the news that Ryan Reynolds would play Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Variety is reporting that two more characters from the Marvel universe are joining the cast. Taylor Kitsch will be playing Gambit, and will.i.am will take on the role of John Wraith. Kitsch is best known for the TV show Friday Night Lights and will.i.am is most famous as the leader of the mild hip-hop group Black-Eyed Peas. This will be his film debut.
So just in the last two days we’ve added Gambit, Wraith, Deadpool and the Blob; prior to that we had William Stryker, Kayla Silverfox, and Sabretooth. I don’t know what’s being planned for these characters; some of them may just be introduced in order to set up future films (which would be annoying clutter). But I would just point out that in the past (Spider-Man 3 being the most recent example) adding an excess number of heroes and sidekicks usually is a recipe for disaster.
