‘Mission Impossible 4′ Not Such An Impossible Mission?

‘Mission Impossible 4? Not Such An Impossible Mission?

Two years ago, Sumner Redstone, the head honcho at Viiacom, had a big falling out with Tom Cruise. This spat saw Cruise banned from the Paramount Pictures studio lot, and the chances of another Mission Impossible sequel become exactly that - impossible.

The argument allegedly took place after Redstone criticised Cruise’s conduct at the time, which included jumping around on Oprah Winfrey’s couch, and discussing antidepressant drugs with Today host Matt Lauer.

However, the pair are said to have now buried the hatchet, after they shared dinner at a Beverly Hills restaurant in March. This has lead to talk of a new Mission Impossible film finally getting the go-ahead.

The Hollywood Reporter claim a well placed source has confirmed to them that Tom Cruise is being lined up for the project, although no script has yet been written, and the project has yet to be given the green light by Paramount.

I’ve loved all three of the Mission Impossible movies so far, despite not being a fan of Tom Cruise or his acting abilities. So I’d obviously love to see Mission Impossible 4 made. Can’t they choose a new leading man though? Matt Damon would be good…
