Michael Fassbender Joins “Jane Got a Gun”

Michael Fassbender. Nothing more to say.

We have more Michael Fassbender news! Indeed, how bad can a week be when you get two pieces of Michael Fassbender casting information?

First we heard that he was going to play an “enigmatic” rock star in “Frank” with Domhnall Gleeson, and now we have news that Fassbender has joined the cast of “Jane Got a Gun” with Natalie Portman. Yes, it had been rumored for a while but now it’s confirmed.

The story focuses “on a woman who must ask an ex-lover for help in order to save her outlaw husband from a gang out to kill him.” No word on whether Fassbender will play the ex-lover or the husband. Lynne Ramsey will direct Brian Dufield’s script.

Fassbender will next be seen in Steve McQueen’s “Twelve Year’s a Slave,” and is currently filming “The Counselor.” He’s also got the aforementioned “Frank” on his schedule and the sequel to “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” Speaking of “X-Men,” that’s supposed to begin filming early next year…and ComingSoon says “Jane Got a Gun” is supposed to start shooting in early 2013. Hmm…I think someone’s going to have to move to accommodate the other. Guess which.
