‘Little Fockers’ On Way

Meet The Parents and Meet The Fockers were high-grossing box office smash comedies. So there was always likely to be a third movie in the series. But where can the series go after the first two films? After all, we’ve now met both sets of parents. Now it’s time to Meet the Little Fockers.
At the end of Meet The Fockers, Gaylord Focker and Pam were married, and Pam was expecting a child. So it would seem obvious where the series was going to head, and the young Fockers are, it seems, going to be the focus of attention for the third film in the series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie has been in the works for two years now, bu has hit some obstacles along the way which have held it up. Now though, the road seems to be clear. John Hamburg has been brought in to write the screenplay, and Universal Pictures seems keen on moving forward, with later this year being eyed as potential shooting time.
Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, and Ben Stiller are all said to be in negotiation to star in Little Fockers, with the latter possibly having his role expanded.
I’m really not sure how I feel about this sequel. I enjoyed the first two films and so should welcome a new film in the series with open arms. But, a big part of me can’t help wondering if the jokes would wear a bit thin over the course of a third movie. And the focus on the children has me recounting Look Who’s Talking. Not good.
