Have you been thinking to yourself, “Isn’t it about time that Lady Gaga makes a bid fo rmovie stardom?” If so, then you will be happy to know that she will be appearing in “Machete Kills,” Robert Rodriguez’s sequel to 2010′s “Machete.”
Lady Gaga will be playing a character called “La Chameleon.” Rodriguez tweeted: “I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills,” Rodriguez tweeted, “she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!”
So either she’s playing a gigantic leading role and Rodriguez has been keeping quiet about it for the entire shoot, or she dropped in to do a one or two day cameo. I’m thinking the latter. Though they did at least give her a character poster. Give Gaga credit for this–if she is trying to get into acting, at least she isn’t trying to make her debut in a starring role.
Danny Trejo stars as the title character. The rest of the cast includes Michelle Rodriguez, Oscar nominee Demian Bechir, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, Zoe Saldana and Charlie Sheen. It deals with Machete’s attempt to stop an arms dealer, played, of course, by Mel Gibson, from launching a deadly missile.
