Perhaps Kristen Stewart can see the “Twilight” finish line.
MTV News did a little interview with Kristen Stewart in which–shockingly–the topic of “Breaking Dawn,” the soon to be filmed two part “Twilight” finale, came up. I couldn’t find the original MTV link, so I don’t know the exact purpose of the interview, but I’m guessing it was related to her movie with James Gandolfini, “Welcome to the Rileys” rather than actually “Twilight.” Much to the chagrin of the ”Rileys” producers, though, people are much more likely to want to ask Stewart about “Twilight.” Hopefully she can at least get a chance to plug a release date for “Rileys.”
Anyway, in this video found at Deadline, Stewart talks about how it is weird and yet it is not weird to be playing Bella again, but knowing its heading for the finish line. At one point she says (to paraphrase) that it’s hard to think of it as being near the end because “there is just soooo much left to do.” And when you see her face as she says that, you know she’s not talking about actually shooting the movie; rather, she looks like she’s thinking, “Oh my god, a year after I finish making this thing I’m going to have to go out and be trotted through a whole shitload more interviews like this one where people ask me dumb questions about playing Bella. I can’t wait until three years from now. Dear god, Ms. Meyer, don’t write another damn book.”
Here’s what she says about the script:
“”Well, to be honest, it’s never very striking only because you know it…Until you get to the last page, you’re just hoping it won’t let you down.”
She then called it “…really good, I don’t know, very solid.” This may sound negative but take into account Stewart’s usual lack of enthusiasm for interviews, and it becomes an outright rave.
“Breaking Dawn Pt. 1″ will hit theaters in November 2011 and pt. 2 will get there in November 2012.
