Keitel Joins “Little Fockers”

Harvey Keitel is sucked into the Focker fold. 

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Harvey Keitel is following the footsteps of his contemporary Robert DeNiro from hard-hitting crime dramas to gentle family comedies by joining the cast of “Little Fockers.” DeNiro stars in the third installment of the series that began with “Meet the Parents.” Other returnees include Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, Blythe Danner, and Owen Wilson. First-timers along with Keitel include Jessica Alba and Laura Dern.

This film will, as you can imagine, revolve around the children of the Stiller and Polo characters (the luckiest thing that ever happened to Polo was landing her role in “Meet the Parents”). Keitel will play a contractor working for Stiller.

Did I mention Paul Weitz is directing? No? Well, now you know.

The Fockers films have turned into easy money for everyone involved, and I guess they’ll keep it going as long as they can. What will be the next one? Obviously, “A Focker Vacation.” Excuse me while I go write that script before someone else does.
