Keira Knightley’s Green Dress From ‘Atonement’ Voted Best Film Costume

Sky Movies and In Style magazine have recently held a poll to find the best film costume of all time, and the delectable Keira Knightley has found herself at number one thanks to that delicate green dress she wore in Atonement (pictured).
I must admit that I tend not to look at what Keira is wearing when I’m watching any film she’s in, instead focussing on what she isn’t wearing… at least in my vivid imagination.
I do recognise some of the top ten however, as they are outfits or costumes which are unforgettable, or went on to become the biggest feature of the film they were worn in.
The Top Ten Best Film Costumes Of All Time:-
1. Keira Knightley’s green dress - Atonement
2. Marilyn Monroe’s white dress - The Seven Year Itch
3. Audrey Hepburn’s little black dress - Breakfast At Tiffany’s
4. Olivia Newton-John’s tight leather trousers - Grease
5. Kate Winslet’s blue gown - Titanic
6. Diane Keaton’s tie and waistcoat - Annie Hall
7. Nicole Kidman’s corset - Moulin Rouge
8. Liza Minnelli’s fishnets and bowler hat - Cabaret
9. Cate Blanchett’s gown - Elizabeth: The Golden Age
10. Vivien Leigh’s costumes - Gone With The Wind
Who can forget that famous image of Audrey Hepburn in a little black dress and pearls in Breakfast At Tiffany’s? Or the glorious sight of a young and ultra fit Olivia Newton-John emerging from her days as a dowdy schoolgirl to become the sexpot John Travolta had always dreamt she was in Grease. I think I’m showing my age now.

[…] really about is Keira Knightley’s dress. You know, the green one? Because I want that dress. (Apparently I am not alone). But all the knock-offs I can find on-line fall short by a mile - wrong color, too shiny, too […]
