‘Justice League’ Back On Course For A Summer 2009 Release?

Man, this is getting confusing. It seems that not a day goes by when there isn’t a new twist to the plot of the Justice League saga… and this is just about whether it’s going to be made or not!
There were rumours that the film, already on hold, was set to be cancelled altogether, then that the entire production would be being moved from Australia to Canada. Now it seems that the project is fully on course again, and a release date has even been decided upon.
Variety are reporting that Warner Bros. are steaming ahead with the film, and are keen to see it première in the summer of 2009.
The reason for the initial putting on hold was the writers strike, and the studio expressed a desire for the script to be rewritten, a chance for improvements to be made. Now that the writers strike is well and truly over, writers Kieran and Michele Mulroney are busy ironing out the script problems, and the film looks all set to get the go ahead.
The film is currently in pre-production in Australia under the guidance of director George Miller.
