Variety reports that Jon Stewart from “The Daily Show” is all set to host the 2008 Oscars. It will be his second time hosting the awards ceremony.
According to a report late Tuesday on the New York Times website, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is expected to announce today that Jon Stewart will host the 80th Annual Academy Awards.
This would be Stewart’s second date with Oscar; he also hosted the ceremony in 2006. Ellen DeGeneres hosted this year’s kudocast. (source)
The show is scheduled to air on ABC on the 24th of February next year.
