John Leguizamo is very, very busy.
Big casting day for John Leguizamo–Deadline reports that he has been cast in “The Counselor” and ” Kick-Ass 2.” This is in addition to the ABC pilot “Only Fools and Horses” that he’ll be making. Busy times.
“The Counselor” was written by Cormac McCarthy and surprise–it was a spec script that he just wrote rather than an adaptation of one of his novels. Ridley Scott is directing. With those two names attached I don’t think you’ll be surprised to see this kind of cast list: Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz.
“Kick-Ass 2″ is of course the follow up to 2010′s “Kick-Ass.” Jeff Wadlow wrote the script and is in line to direct, taking over for Matthew Vaughn, who’s busy with the “X-Men: First Class” sequel. Leguizamo would play “Javier, the bodyguard assigned to protect aspiring evil guy Red Mist, the role to be reprised by Christopher Mintz-Plasse.” Other returning cast members include Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, and Nicolas Cage.
So yeah, don’t expect to find John Leguizamo sitting around complaining, “I have nothing to do today,” anytime soon.
