Jamie Foxx Up for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” Possibly Playing Electro

Jamie Foxx may be your Electro.

If you’ve been wondering what’s up with “The Amazing Spider-Man” sequel, well, here’s what’s up–according to Deadline, Jamie Foxx is in talks to join the cast. No official word on what role he would play, but he tweeted about dressing up as Electro for Halloween, noting that “the costume fits well.”

Here’s what ComingSoon says about Electro:

First appearing in 1964′s “The Amazing Spider-Man” #9, Electro’s real name is Max Dillon and he has the power to control electricity.

Marc Webb will return to direct “The Amazing Spider-Man2″ and Andrew Garfield will be back to star. Emma Stone is also supposed to return, though there’s nothing official on that yet. Shailene Woodley has an offer to play Mary Jane Watson. Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinkner wrote a script based on a previous draft by James Vanderbilt.

Foxx will next be seen on screen in December in Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained.”
