Bradley Cooper. I don’t have a Cooper Quip.
Is he? Well, Hitfix is reporting that top super secret sources are saying that Cooper is the frontrunner for the role. The adaptation of the comic book is being directed by the estimable Martin Campbell.
ComingSoon has this handy dandy guide to Green Lantern:
The “Green Lantern” was created in 1940 by writer Bill Finger and artist Martin Nodell. Hal Jordan, introduced in 1959, is a second-generation test pilot, an ordinary man who was given the power ring and battery (lantern) by a dying alien named Abin Sur. When Abin Sur’s spaceship crashed on Earth, the alien used his ring to seek out an individual to take his place as Green Lantern: someone who was “utterly honest and born without fear.”
I don’t know, isn’t a little fear a good thing? Isn’t that what keeps you alive? And while honesty generally is the best policy, don’t you need a little lie sometimes? I don’t know, I’m worried about this Green Lantern fellow.
As for Cooper, he’s in the upcoming comedy “The Hangover.” He’s been banging around for a while, doing a lot of TV especially. I don’t know enough about him to judge his Green Lantern-ness, but I do know that it generally has been a good idea to cast lesser known actors as superheroes, or those you wouldn’t necessarily expect (that covers the Robert Downey Jr. case study). So I guess…why not?

I Love you Bradley cooper!!! Since the first time i saw you…
You are not only a good looking guy, but also a good actor.
Big kisses from Paris.
