In Memoriam: Ledger Dedication at the End of Dark Knight

The AP announces that Warner Brothers’ web site has posted a dedication to Heath Ledger and Conway Wickliffe that will appear at the end of The Dark Knight. The text is pretty simple:

”In memory of our friends Heath Ledger & Conway Wickliffe.”

Wickliffe was a special effects technician who was killed in a stunt-car accident last September. Ledger died in January from an apparent accidental overdose of prescription drugs.

Of course this is a nice gesture from Warner Brothers, but it would be even nicer if it wasn’t necessary.
