Diane Kruger, the girl in the boys’ club that is Inglorious Bastards.
Variety reports that Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards has added a few new cast members to its happy family. The new friends are Diane Kruger, Christoph Waltz, and Paul Rust.
(btw, Variety, nice typo in the headline on this article: “Kruder” instead of “Kruger.” The article’s been up long enough that someone should have flagged that by now. Come on, you can afford copy editors.)
Inglorious Bastards, as you surely know by now, is a remake of the ’70s B movie action flick about a group of maverick WW II soldiers out to wreak havoc on the Nazis.
Waltz will play Colonel Hans Landa, the chief bad guy in the movie. Kruger will play German actress Bridget Von Hammersmark. Nastasssja Kinski had previously been mentioned for the part. Kruger’s always been good at playing a pretty face, but not much else. Here’s another chance to prove she’s not just another gorgeous mannequin.
Bastards other cast memebers include Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, Mike Myers, Michael Fassbender, BJ Novak, and Samm Levine. Shooting begins on October 13th, which may, unfortunately, signal the end of the always useful casting news for this one.
