Dumb, too.
I’m sure there’s no doubt that many people consider “Dumb and Dumber” a comedy classic, or at least one of the 1990s. So I’m sure there are many people who have been eagerly awaiting the sequel from the original film’s creators, Peter and Bobby Farrelly (the non-Farrelly prequel “Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd” doesn’t count).
Which brings us to today’s news, an announcement from the Farrellys that they officially have a title for the movie: “Dumb and Dumber To.”Here’s how they announced it on Twitter:
“You also might be interested to know that we are almost done with the Dumb and Dumber To (sic) script. I think you’re going to like it.”
That’s their own parenthetical sic, not mine. Even I’m not that pedantic.
Anyway, it’s a good enough title, but it is a shame that “Dumb and Dumberer” was taken. They’re hoping to shoot the sequel in spring 2013, to accommodate Jeff Daniels’s schedule with the HBO show “The Newsroom.” Jim Carrey is also expected to return.
