Just sign the A-Team contract, already, Bradley Cooper.
The Hollywood Reporter confirms that the long rumored casting of Bradley Cooper in “The A-Team” is underway. Cooper, one of the stars of this week’s number one movie, “The Hangover” (yes, revised numbers from this afternoon put it above “Up” in a photo finish), is supposedly in talks to star as “Face,” the role played by Dirk Benedict in the “A-Team” TV series.
This has all been so ridiculous. First Cooper leaked the news to IESB that he was up for the part. Then “his people” immediately put out a denial that anything was going on. Now THR confirms that he is up for the role. Seriously, what would have been the big deal if they had just let the IESB report go? No one would have noticed much but now the whole publicity team just looks stupid for denying it. Come on, this isn’t a matter of national security, it’s casting for a really stupid movie. Admitting that he was up for the part would not have killed Cooper’s career. Unless the “A-Team” producers are issuing death threats to actors involved in casting negotiations, and if that’s true, well, do you really want to be part of that production?
