Daniel Craig Unsure Over More ‘Bond’

Most people agree that Daniel Craig has added something new and exciting to the James Bond series. Here is a man who has smouldering good looks and the personality of an English gent – so is clearly made to measure in playing the most famous spy in the world.

So far we have only seen him in Casino Royale, and the soon to be released Quantum Of Solace, but there’s a possibility that he could quit the role after the latest outing. Monsters and Critics report him as saying:

“I did sign on for four so a piece of paper says there are two more to do. But let’s see how this one goes. In the film business, everything doesn’t always go according to plan. We’ll wait and see. If it goes wrong, we’ll have to rethink things.”

That quote could be taken two ways, either that he may quit if the film is a flop, or that him and the rest of the cast and crew will look at what it can do to improve the series in time for the next film. The latter seems more likely when as recently as April, Craig stated that he would keep playing Bond until his joints give out.

Regardless, this is all a moot point because there’s absolutely no chance of Quantum Of Solace flopping. Everyone who I know wants to see it, and the early reviews coming in suggest it’s one of the best Bond films ever made, and even more gritty than Casino Royale.
