Comic-Con Update: Marvel Movies Get Dates, Titles, Ant-Man Footage, More

The Marvel panel at Comic-Con was a big deal, of course. Robert Downey, Jr. showed up, which always enlivens the proceedings. You can read a live blog of the event at ComingSoon.

The other news of note–the studio has given titles and dates to its next array of films:

  • The Captain America sequel will be called “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” and will be released on April 4, 2014.
  • The Thor sequel will be called “Thor: The Dark World,” and will be released on November 8, 2013.
  • “Iron Man 3″ continues to just get a number, and will be released on May 3, 2013. . Also, they announced that Stephanie Szostak has joined the cast.

Much to the thrill of many people there, Edgar Wright showed some Ant-Man test footage, which was very well-received. It’s beginning to feel like the Ant-Man movie might actually finally happen…
