Christoph Waltz Goes to “Reykjavik”

By Kirsten Anderson Casting

Christoph Waltz will get to go bald and go to Iceland.

In the mood for some political history? Deadline reports that Christoph Waltz has joined the cast of “Reykjavik,” a movie about a 1986 meeting between Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev and Ronald Reagan. Waltz has joined the cast to play Gorbachev and Michael Douglas is already set to star as Reagan. Mike Newell is directing and Kevin Hood wrote the screenplay.

Waltz looks nothing like Gorbachev and Douglas doesn’t look like Reagan, but that’s okay. Acting time! Waltz will be seen in December in Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained.” He does voice work for “Epic,” an animated movie coming out in 2013.
