Chris Klein and Michael Clarke Duncan Join Cast Of ‘Street Fighter’ Movie
A second attempt is about to be made at turning massively successful fighting video game Street Fighter in to a movie franchise, and a brilliant looking cast is being assembled in the process.
We probably all remember the first Street Fighter film from 1994, which despite starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Raul Julia, and Kylie Minogue amongst others, flopped more conclusively than Britney Spears career has of late. In the process it added to the weight of conviction behind the belief that it is nigh on impossible to make a good video game to movie translation.
But, they’re trying again, and at east the cast looks good on first sight.
According to Variety, Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lane in Smallville) will start as Chun-Li, an inspired piece of casting if ever saw it. Michael Clarke Duncan will play Balrog, with Chris Klein as Nash.
While the plot details are being kept under wraps, it’s thought that the movie will focus on the character of Chun-Li, while shooting will take place in Bangkok, Hong Kong and Vancouver.
A new version of the video game is due out later this year, and depending on how successful Street Fighter IV is, this movie could do really well, or bomb like its predecessor did.

STREET FIGHTER MOVIE.
Michael Clark Duncan,Chris Klein,Moon Bloodgood and Taboo all have been cast aloneside Kristin Kreuk in the new Street Fighter movie.
The 1994 Jean Claude Van Damme movie version was a failure
so this remake will not follow anything to the 1994 version.
This version focus on Chun Li but needs to be more on Ryu and Ken from the start but its OK.
There is another fighting game going into movie with Tekken
which will be another failure and maybe Virtua Fighter movie also another failure.
