Carell Co. Gets “Hi-T”

Steve Carell, likely to be handing out testosterone shots rather than receiving them.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Steve Carell’s Carousel Productions will produce the comedy “Hi-T.” The title makes sense once you know it’s about a guy who has an accident that leaves him testosterone deprived, but then finds that the hormone injections leave him prone to wild mood swings. Kim Barker is set to write the script.

The most important thing you need to know about this deal is that Carell is NOT planning to star in it. He’s only doing one movie during his hiatus from “The Office,” and while he hasn’t picked a project yet, the frontrunner is said to be “Date Night,” which would also star Tina Fey.

So with that information, who would you like to see star in “Hi-T,” other than the obvious choice of Alex Rodriguez? I guess you could always throw out Jim Carrey’s name, and he’d probably overwhelm it in a way that would either make it great or destroy it. But he’s got lots of projects going on. So who would I say…hmm, I guess I’ll throw out another Steve–Steve Coogan. No idea why, but as always, why not?
