Bruce Willis To Play Murray Walker In ‘The Michael Schumacher Story’?
I’m not sure how well known, or sainted Michael Schumacher is outside of Europe, but over here, he is a motor racing God, having won the Formula 1 world championship seven times, most of which was while driving for Ferrari. He’s now retired from racing, but has appeared in two movies recently, playing Schumix in the Asterix movie and voicing a Ferrari in animated Pixar film Cars. Now he’s set to appear as himself in The Michael Schumacher Story, the biopic of his life currently in the works.
However, as well as Schumacher himself, there will be a large cast of supporting actors needed, and one of them could be Bruce Willis. Digital Spy report that he is being lined up to play legendary commentator Murray Walker, who covered Formula 1 for over 50 years before retiring.
The movie’s producers are said to be lining up Bruce Willis to play him. Schumacher’s agent Willi Weber is quoted as saying:
“Bruce Willis would certainly do Murray justice.”
I personally can’t see the similarity. One is old, and British, the other is not old (but getting there) and very American. Just look at the pictures of the pair above and tell me it would work! Walker himself was even surprised when told about the casting:
“I had to make sure when looking at the calendar that it was April 25 not April 1. I always regarded Bruce Willis as a mirror image of myself, don’t you know… a much younger version though.”
I can’t see this happening, and think its more a case of wishful thinking on the part of the German producers.

And when will the movie? Yearningly expected and because I like both.
