British Independent Film Awards Winners

In a rarity, a horror movie snares some awards.

This busy awards weekend also brought us the British Independent Film Awards, which I guess are the equivalent of the Gotham Independent Film Awards we had last month. What effect do these winners have on the bigger name awards, such as the Academy Awards or BAFTA? None whatsoever, but they deserve their moment in the sun as much as anyone else.
