Bradley Cooper Up for Cameron Crowe Movie

By Kirsten Anderson Casting

I like Bradley Cooper, but the mustache isn't doing anything for me.

Deadline says that Cameron Crowe, after a long search, has decided he wants Bradley Cooper to star in his next move. Word is that they’re in talks, or one would suspect that lawyers, agents, etc. are the ones in talks. Emma Stone is already set to star. This is progress–Cooper lately has been paired with 22 year old Jennifer Lawrence and Stone is 23 years old. So his leading ladies are slowly heading towards Cooper’s age 37 range.

The plot, of course, is not known, but the film is described as “a two-hander with a tone reminiscent of past Crowe films “Almost Famous” andJerry Maguire.” What, it’s not reminiscent of “Elizabethtown?”

Cooper will next be seen in “Silver Linings Playbook,” a movie that was a hit on the festival circuit and is getting lots of awards buzz. He’s generated Oscar talk for his performance, but Best Actor is an awfully crowded field this year. He also stars in Derek Cianfrance’s “The Place Beyond the Pines,” which also had a good festival reception. And of course, he’s filming “The Hangover Part III.”
