Boyd Holbrook will be the romantic artist type.
Elizabeth Olsen and Dakota Fanning are the “Very Good Girls” and Boyd Holbrook is the boy who will come between them. Deadline reports that Holbrook has joined the cast of the film that was written by Naomi Foner and will mark her directorial debut. You may know Foner’s kids, Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Don’t worry, it’s not just Hollywood nepotism, Foner had a writing career before the children hit the big screen.
But back to this movie–Olsen and Fanning will play lifelong best friends determined to lose their virginity. Holbrook will play an artist they both fall for, putting their friendship at risk. Note to the characters: Girls, there are plenty of other cute “artists” out there. One of you find another. Your friendship is worth a lot, lot more than the guy.
Holbrook, who started out as a model, has been seen on TV in “The Big C” and next week’s “The Hatfields and the McCoys” on History Channel. On the big screen, he’s been in “Higher Ground” and in the upcoming adaptation of “The Host” by Stephenie Meyer.
