If you bet on 2007 as the Year of Amy Ryan, you’re in luck.
Are you feeling somewhat overwhelmed by all the different groups coming out with their year end awards? Are you confused by the fact that there’s not just the New York Film Critics Circle but also the New York Film Critics Online? Are you still not exactly sure about who that National Board of Review is?
Well, here’s something to help you out. MovieCityNews has put together this handy dandy awards chart that’s tracking all the lists from the different groups. There also are links to the websites of each group so you can see their results alone. It’s nifty cool.
A quick glance at the chart today shows a couple of frontrunners. So far No Country for Old Men has picked up the most best picture awards. Amy Ryan is such a lock for supporting actress that the Academy might as well not even bother digging up four other nominees. Julie Christie is way ahead of everyone else with best actress nods for Away From Her (Hollywood is like, “Look she’s old…and she’s still pretty? Who knew that was possible?). George Clooney and Daniel Day-Lewis are almost neck and neck for best actor.
And that’s how it stands for now, folks.
