Anne Hathaway will try to remember any low self-esteem she may have felt prior to her non-stop successful life.
If you’ve ever wondered if that script you sent out to a million producers three years ago would ever get made, then, good news! There certainly is a chance–well, if your script was actually written by Mindy Kaling and it was on the 2009 Black List.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Anne Hathaway will star in “The Low Self-Esteem of Lizzie Gillespie,” the script in question by Kaling and Brent Forrester, which was indeed on the 2009 Black List. Kaling and Forrester will also get producer credits, and Kaling would likely play a supporting role as well.
THR describes it this way:
The story centers on a woman whose lack of self-worth has limited her choice in men to losers. When she is about to hit the bottom of the barrel, life takes an unexpected turn when she is pursued by the hottest guy ever.
ComingSoon describes it this way:
A single girl in Manhattan dates the hottest guy in the world but must overcome her insecurities when she hears him deny they are dating.
So put the two together and you’ve got a movie.
Hathaway will next be seen in “Les Miserables.” Kaling has “The Mindy Project” on TV.
