Anne Hathaway would be willing to return to Gotham.
First off, yes, I know Anne Hathaway’s character in “The Dark Knight Rises” is never called “Catwoman” and yes, that’s clearly who she’s supposed to be. With finer points like that out of the way, we come to the topic at hand, which is the possibility of a stand alone Catwoman movie. Is Hathaway up for it?
In an interview with Digital Spy, Hathaway said:
“I think it would be lovely to see more of her but only if it’s with the right people. She lives in this Gotham City and so it would have to be established by the people who have made this Gotham City. For me, at least.”
It’s always “if it’s the right people” or “the right script.” It’s a nice sentiment from Hathaway, that she only wants to make the movie with the people who created this Catwoman’s universe, but I have a hard time picturing Christopher Nolan going back to Gotham without Batman.
