Angelina Jolie To Play Kathi Lynn Austin In Paramount Spy Thriller

Angelina Jolie is already a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Refugee Agency, but she could be about to step up a few ranks in the U.N. pecking order.
She has signed up to star as a U.N. spy in an as yet untitled thriller based on the life of Kathi Lynn Austin, a woman who worked on a contract basis around the world for the U.N.
Austin is a semi famous intelligence operative who worked for the U.N., and dealt with terrorism and arms trafficking in every corner of the globe: Africa, Asia, Central America, and Europe.
The project isn’t very far along yet, with just a pitch, a studio (Paramount) and a lead star (Jolie). Geyer Kosinski, Jolie’s manager, will be producing, and a writer will be assigned as soon as the on going writers strike comes to an end.
Austin is reported to be preparing to write her memoirs next year, so whether the film will be written alongside actual events, or just based on the inspiration of her story is not yet known.
I hope the strike ends asap, as this film pitch is already exciting me, but that could just be because the delectable Jolie is on board.
Based on what little I know about Austin (Wikipedia is my friend) this film seems perfect for Jolie, and could turn out to be brilliant.
