Additional Scenes for Twilight

Hopefully Peter Facinelli still has his blonde on.

A lot of people can’t get enough Twilight–including the cast and the crew of the movie set to open November 21st. MTV reports that members of the cast have been called back to shoot additional scenes.Filming will take place this week.

Peter Facinelli tells what he knows about the work:

“I can tell you it’s a flashback scene. It gives us a little bit of history of the Cullen family. … They are just shooting a couple of different added scenes, and the scene I’m in, I can tell you it’s me and Robert Pattinson. … Rosalie and Emmett are in that scene.”

Taylor Lautner tells what he’s doing:

“Well, I am going to be in the prom scene now, at the very end of the film. At first we didn’t film that, and now some people are saying they want to see a bit more.”

Who doesn’t want to see a bit more prom?! Who, I ask you?

If you’re worried about why they’re shooting scenes after filming was wrapped, don’t. It’s very common for movies to reshoot scenes or add new ones. Sometimes the director or producer watch a rough cut of the film and realize that something isn’t clear or doesn’t make sense. The new scenes are tweaks to help audience members. So don’t panic and think that this is an ominous signal that the movie’s a mess–this isn’t unusual at all.
