You know how some people are never satisfied with their lot in life? Well Curtis Jackson, better known as 50 cent is one of those people. Not content with being an award-winning, bestselling rap artist (although I prefer Kanye West personally), he’s also an actor and has his own videogame. Greedy man.
The latest film set to test Jackson’s ability as an actor is set to be Dead Man Running, a British gangster flick, the latest to try and mimic the success of Guy Ritchie’s Lock Stock, and Snatch. According to The Hollywood Reporter, 50 Cent will play a ruthless loan shark on the mean streets of London and Manchester.
The cast already includes Tamer Hassan (Layer Cake), Danny Dyer (The Business), Brenda Blethyn (Secrets and Lies) and Monet Mazur (Stoned). Dead Man Running is an independent film which started filming yesterday under the stewardship of Alex de Rakoff.
The plot sees an ex-convict who Jackson’s loan shark character gives 24 hours to raise £100,000. Footballers, Rio Ferdinand of Manchester United and Ashley Cole of Chelsea have given their backing to the film, and will take executive producer credits.
