‘Sin City 2’ Filming In 2010

There are certain movies that seem to take ages to come together, and Sin City 2 fits into this category. First, it was speculation whether a sequel would actually happen or not, and then it came down to a matter of timing. But with the original being released in 2005, the time is surely now ripe.

Sin City is definitely happening, and is being based on an original script by Frank Miller. And the start of filming may even have now been dated, with Comics2Film getting word from Stephen L’Heureux that a late 2010 shoot date has been set.

The producer also noted, “There’s also talk, of course, of ‘Sin City 3′.” The problem, as usual, is one of timing, with Miller’s time difficult to manage. Sin City 2 is complicated by the fact that there are so many in-demand actors involved.

Miller is also hard at work on a screenplay of his comic book series Hard Boiled. He’s attached to direct the movie but it’s currently only in the early stages, and is likely to be completed sometime between Sin City 2 and Sin City 3.
