Resident Evil 6 is out in the wild and getting kicked around by both critics and ordinary punters. Some reviews have patted it on the back, while others have delivered it a swift kick to the groin. In other words, opinion seemed to be mixed.
At the time of writing Resident Evil 6 has a critical score of 67/100 on Metacritic, but users have marked it down to just 45/100. It’s time to see what Ben ‘Yahtzee’ Croshaw of Zero Punctuation thinks of the game…
Ooh, that’s got to hurt. Croshaw rarely likes a game, but he doesn’t usually hate on any as much as he does here with Resident Evil 6. And it isn’t just this game but the whole series. And Capcom as a whole.
Personally I’ve never liked the Resident Evil games, so I wouldn’t have bought Resident Evil 6 anyway. But this review, along with some of the others I have read, have confirmed to me that this is one only meant for the hardcore fans. Next.
