It’s time for another dose of snark with Zero Punctuation. This week Ben ‘Yahtzee’ Croshaw reviews Lollipop Chainsaw, a strange little game that features a barely dressed high school cheerleader hacking away at hordes of zombies with a rainbow-spouting chainsaw. No, I’m serious.
Lollipop Chainsaw clearly isn’t a game for everyone. People who don’t appreciate controlling cheerleaders wielding chainsaws may want to avoid it, for example. But the rest of us will find it a lot of fun.
I think Yahtzee nails it here. Lollipop Chainsaw comes across as a lazy game – I mean, who hasn’t done zombies at this point – but it will appeal to a niche audience.Just don’t expect much of a challenge from the gameplay.
