Dishonored has been the surprise hit of the year so far, alongside Sleeping Dogs. Not everyone loves the stealth-action adventure which offers multiple ways to play through the game, but the general consensus is a positive one.
I wonder if Ben ‘Yahtzee’ Croshaw, the guy behind the epic Zero Punctuation reviews, agrees…
Croshaw suggests Dishonored owes much to Bioshock, Deus Ex, and Thief, so if any or all of those titles float your boat this one may do so as well. Unfortunately the dialog and AI let it down.
Croshaw also has a problem with the idea of freedom in the game. Yes, you can do what you want to a certain extent, but because your actions will lead to either a good or bad ending you feel like you should be nicer than nastier.
He ends up rather disappointed, but then that is positive in the misanthropic world of Zero Punctuation.
