If you follow this link to Go Nintendo you’ll see three photos taken of the internal stock system at Blockbuster in the UK. They show what is alleged to be the launch line-up of the Wii U.
The games listed are Aliens Colonial Marines, Darksiders II, Assassin’s Creed, Batman: Arkham City, Dirt 3, Monsters Party, New Super Marios Mii, Ninja Gaiden 3, Just Dance 4, Shield Pose, Splinter Cell 6, Killer Freaks From Outer Space, Marvel Super Heroes, Pikmin, Rabbids Party Land, Raving Rabbids, Metro Last Light, Rayman Legends, Sports Connection, Tekken, Your Shape 2013, Zombie, Formula One: All Stars, Game Party, and Ghost Recon Online. That’s 25 titles, for those who can’t be bothered to count them all.
Some of the titles seem legit, but others are vague or strange or have already been announced for release in 2013. So it seems as though the NeoGAF user who claims he used to work at Blockbuster is telling the truth when he says that this list is “entirely speculated by the sales team” and the titles are there “purely as placeholders.”
The truth may be somewhere between the two, but it’s fun to speculate on the Wii U launch line-up regardless. The chances are that Nintendo will reveal the full truth at E3 2012 in June.
