Starfox Wii U To Be Unveiled At E3?

The Wii U played a starring role at last year’s E3 conference, being unveiled and teased in a big way by the higher-ups at Nintendo. This year’s E3, taking place in June, is set to switch focus to the games, at least in Nintendo’s quarter.

One game rumored to be making an appearance is a new version of Starfox made specially for the Wii U. A source speaking to Techtroid claims the new Starfox game is being developed by Retro Studios. These guys have already teased the fact they are working on a Wii U game, one which represents “a project everyone wants us to do.”

The Starfox games have been a little patchy of late but if the glory of Starfox 64 can be replicated then (soon-to-be) Wii U owners are in for a treat.

Of course this announcement, and others like it that are also rumored, could be blown out of the water should either Sony or Microsoft, or indeed both, decide to show off new hardware. Nintendo would then struggle to gain any headlines around the blogosphere.
