The T3 Gadget Awards 2012 were held last night in London, England, and the somewhat controversial winner in the Gaming Gadget Of The Year category was the PlayStation Vita from Sony.
The PS Vita hasn’t exactly set the world alight since its release earlier this year (everywhere except Japan). There aren’t many games available for the handheld platform, and those that do exist are of mixed quality.
Regardless, T3 has named the PS Vita the Gaming Gadget Of The Year. The competition wasn’t exactly wide and varied, with the Nintendo 3DS (the obvious contender) having been released a full year before the PS Vita. In 2011 it was beaten out by Kinect on the Xbox 360.
The Gaming Gadget Of The Year was just one of a number of categories at the T3 Gadget Awards 2012. Other winners included the Raspberry Pi, the Amazon Kindle, the iPhone 4S, the Samsung Galaxy S3, and the Google Nexus 7.
