Polyphony Starts Work On ‘Gran Turismo 6′

I’m still playing Gran Turismo 5 long after it was released. And I played GT4 before that, and GT3 before that etc. etc. For me the Gran Turismo titles are the best driving games ever released, and they get better every time.

There is one problem with the series, which is how long it takes for each one to get made. I know a lot of work goes into these titles, getting every last piece of the puzzle as close to accurate as possible, but it starts to drag after a few years.

We don’t yet know anything about Gran Turismo 6, but we do know there is going to be one, and that Polyphony Digital has started work on it. As reported (and translated) by GTPlanet, this news comes courtesy of a tweet by Kaz Yamauchi.

@Newsportsx: that recent updates have become small or that there aren’t cars on DLCs, is this because you’re putting hard efforts on [GT] 6?
@Kaz_Yamauchi: Yep.

One word of just three letters long is enough to confirm Polyphony has started work on Gran Turismo 6. The question now is which platform is it being developed for? I can only assume this is destined for the PS4. The only way it will make it onto the PS3 is if it’s a very minor update, and they wouldn’t do that to us, would they?
