Sony is expected to announce a new title exclusive to the PS3 titled Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. This is based on the news that Sony registered the domain, http://playstationallstarsbattleroyale.com/ OK, not based on just that, there have been rumors for many years as to a game that brings together the best characters to have ever appeared on the Playstation consoles, but this is a new twist.
The game would be a beat ‘em up of some description. Hopefully more in the style of Super Smash Bros. and Powerstone than Tekken and Soul Calibur.
This makes a hell of a lot of sense at this stage. Sony has enough original characters to make such a title a no-brainer, an if it were done well then it could sell in huge numbers. Fighting games such as this attract gamers from both sides of the hardcore/casual divide.
Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale is expected to be announced imminently, and I really hope, after all these years, that the PS3 gets a title of this nature.
